Is a hydrostat cub cadet lawn tractor a good pulling tractor?

I have a chance to buy a Cub Cadet riding mower that Id like to turn into a pulling tractor. Im not sure of the year but I know its an older model and it does have shaft drive. ( no belts) However it is hydrostat, is that a problem when it comes to making a pulling tractor?
