Cupcake Questions Galore!!?

So....A while back I posted a thing about a friend of mine who bakes. Well, she's challenged my baking skillzz. Sucks, right? She says if I don't bring 40 amazing cupcakes to school Monday, she'll tell everyone I'm a poser who can't back. Not that I want to stoop to her level, but it sounds fun, too.... So I need an awesome recipe with awesome frosting. Not lamo "I can't bake" cupcakes. I apparently got a book or so my mom says, but its at my aunts.
