Im scared of rejection, but i want to know if he likes me?

i like this guy A LOT!! i want to know if he feels the same way about me. it's driving me crazy! there are mixed signals galore! butttt.... i'm TERRIFIED of rejection, possibly losing a great friendship, and getting my heart broken. it's happened before, im too scared to try it again. how can i find out? or any other tips and insight?
